She was preceded in death by her husband, Lovett Cater. Survivors include her sister, Claudie Mae Loper of Brandon a great-niece, Ann Munn of Newton and several nieces, nephews, and loving and devoted care givers. She was a member of Sulphur Springs Baptist Church. Cater, 101, of Conehatta, died Tuesday, June 17, 2003, at The Specialty Hospital of Meridian. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Stephens Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
